For our German group company, Davidoff of Geneva Germany GmbH, located in Hamburg, Germany, we are seeking a motivated and qualified professional to join our team at the earliest possible date or by mutual agreement.

Head of Finance, Davidoff of Geneva Germany & Austria (m/f/x) 100% / Hamburg, Germany

Responsibilities

As Head of Finance, you are a member of the local management team and report directly to the General Manager. Together with your team, you are responsible for internal and external accounting, monthly reporting to executive management and the group company Oettinger Davidoff AG, as well as the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with German GAAP (HGB) and Swiss GAAP FER. In addition, you oversee Procurement and ICT for Davidoff of Geneva Germany GmbH and Davidoff of Geneva Austria GmbH. Further responsibilities include sales and purchasing controlling, product demand analysis, and ad hoc analyses for Management, Sales, and Operations. 

  • Provide business and financial support to the General Manager, Sales, and Marketing teams
  • Assume functional and disciplinary leadership of the Finance, Accounting, and Procurement departments
  • Prepare and coordinate:
    • Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including notes and management reports
    • Annual corporate tax returns in collaboration with external tax advisors
    • Monthly VAT returns
  • Develop and coordinate the annual financial and liquidity planning process
  • Manage budgeting and cash flow/liquidity planning
  • Develop and monitor meaningful key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Identify opportunities for business development, cost reduction, and process/system improvements
  • Prepare management reports, statistics, analyses, and ad hoc business evaluations
  • Oversee workforce planning and coordinate external payroll service providers
  • Conduct budget-versus-actual variance analyses and communicate findings to responsible stakeholders
  • Ensure the reliability of the ICT infrastructure and the functionality of the SAP S/4HANA environment
  • Lead Procurement activities, including demand analysis, demand planning, and inventory management
  • Oversight of compliance matters / (ICS)

Qualifications and experience

  • Successfully completed degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with a specialization in Finance/Accounting (minimum Bachelor's degree; MBA preferred), or an equivalent professional qualification
  • Strong expertise in finance and accounting, including solid knowledge of financial reporting under IFRS (knowledge of Swiss GAAP FER is considered an advantage)
  • 5–10 years of professional experience in finance and accounting; prior experience in a leadership position within the finance function is an asset
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP, ideally including S/4HANA modules such as FI-AA, FI-GL, FI-AR, FI-AP, Cash Management, CO-OM, and CO-PA, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with consolidation tools, such as LucaNet, is a plus
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Results-oriented strategic thinker with strong planning and organizational capabilities
  • Trusted point of contact for accounting-related matters and tax law issues
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken
