For our German group company, Davidoff of Geneva Germany GmbH, located in Hamburg, Germany, we are seeking a motivated and qualified professional to join our team at the earliest possible date or by mutual agreement.

Financial Accountant (m/f/x) 100% / Hamburg, Germany

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts receivable processes
  • Manage accounts payable processes
  • Administer and maintain local contracts
  • Manage fixed asset accounting
  • Handle bank accounting activities
  • Maintain balance sheet and general ledger accounting
  • Review employee expense reports, including supporting documentation and account allocations
  • Perform intercompany reconciliations
  • Support reporting activities for the parent company
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and Swiss GAAP FER
  • Prepare VAT returns and related tax filings
  • Generate management reports and analyses based on cost centers, cost objects, and projects
  • Manage corporate credit cards
  • Participate in finance-related projects and process improvement initiatives

Qualifications and experience

  • Successfully completed degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a comparable qualification
  • Solid knowledge of financial accounting, controlling, and financial reporting, including IFRS (knowledge of Swiss GAAP FER is an advantage)
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP R/3 or SAP S/4HANA; knowledge of FI and CO modules is a plus
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Experience with consolidation tools such as LucaNet is an advantage
  • Structured, detail-oriented, and independent working style with a high level of reliability and accountability
  • Strong analytical skills, commitment, assertiveness, and team spirit
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good written and spoken German; English language skills are an advantage
